Bernardo RBM 780 SB / 400 V /L Bench Drill
The Bernardo RBM 780 SB bench drill is designed for precise machining up to Ø 16 mm, suitable for workshops and laboratories. The extendable, swiveling, and tilting drill head (-90° to +45°) offers great operational flexibility, while the tilting and 360° rotating table allows for complex machining.
The polished steel column with rack, cast iron pulleys, and precision bearings ensure high stability and concentricity. The large base increases stability, while the IP54 safety switches and separate emergency stop guarantee safe use.
Thanks to its left/right rotation (R/L) capability, it is also perfect for threading operations. A compact yet powerful drill, suitable for both professional and advanced hobby use.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a radial drill and when is it needed compared to a bench drill?
In a bench drill, the workpiece is moved to center the bit on the hole. In a radial drill, the spindle moves: the radial arm translates along the column (height) and rotates around it (angle), bringing the spindle exactly over the drilling point on fixed and heavy workpieces that cannot be easily moved. It is the choice for large workpieces, metal fabrication, and machining on already assembled machines.
Is the radial arm motorized or manual?
It depends on the model. Basic versions of the RD series have manual arm movement with screw locking. NC or Vario versions may have motorized Z-axis. Check the model specifications in the technical table.
What is the right/left (R/L) spindle rotation used for?
Left (L) rotation allows the use of left-hand cutters and the loosening of left-hand threaded screws. It is also useful for manual tapping operations where advancement (right) and retraction (left) are alternated to break the chip.
Are spare parts and assistance available?
Original Bernardo spare parts available with 3–5 working days shipping. Customer assistance available in Italian.
How much space is needed for installation?
The rotation radius of the arm determines the minimum operating area. Leave free space equal to the arm's radius on all sides of the column. For machines over 500 kg, coordinate with Krollit for the necessary unloading equipment.
