Are these knives compatible with my Bernardo planer?
Each knife set is specific to the model indicated in the title. The dimensions (length × width × thickness) must match exactly — even a 0.5 mm difference in diameter can prevent proper clamping on the shaft. Verify the model before purchase. Customer support available in Italian.
Can HSS knives be sharpened instead of replaced?
Yes — with the Bernardo planer knife sharpener (HMS 600 or PHMS 630 A), HSS knives can be sharpened instead of replaced. An HSS knife can be sharpened 5–10 times before the thickness becomes insufficient for secure clamping on the shaft. For TCT carbide knives (inserts), the insert is rotated without sharpening.
