UJK Parf M8 long bench dogs are supplied in pairs, made from CNC machined aluminium, with a 20 mm diameter and a total height of 32 mm. Once inserted into the chamfered 20 mm holes of the multi-function table, they sit flush with the surface, providing a through M8 threaded hole for a wide range of clamping and jig building applications. Specifically designed for thick tops where standard 18 mm bench dogs do not provide sufficient M8 thread engagement. Compatible with the Festool MFT/3 table and all grid tables with chamfered 20 mm holes. Made in Great Britain. Distributed in Italy by Krollit, official UJK distributor since 2007.

Who are the UJK Parf M8 long bench dogs for?
| Profile |
Compatibility |
Reason |
| Those who own multi-function tables thicker than 25 mm |
Suitable |
With a total height of 32 mm, the long dogs ensure adequate M8 thread engagement even on thick tops, where standard 18 mm dogs would leave too little thread in contact |
| Those who build jigs and fixtures with elements fastened by M8 screws on thick tops |
Suitable |
The M8 through-threaded hole on 32 mm of material offers a more secure grip for long screws and high loads compared to the 18 mm of standard dogs |
| Those who own standard 18–25 mm tables |
Not recommended |
For standard thickness tables, standard 18 mm stainless steel 303 bench dogs are sufficient and more robust due to the material; long dogs offer no advantage on these thicknesses |
Not recommended for: tables with 20 mm holes without chamfer, for which the UJK combined chamfer and boring tool is required before installation; and for standard thickness tables of 18–25 mm, for which standard 303 stainless steel bench dogs are recommended.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why are the long bench dogs made of aluminium instead of stainless steel?
The manufacturer UJK uses aluminium for the 32 mm long version to keep the weight down on a larger component. CNC machined aluminium offers adequate precision for anchoring applications and lower weight compared to stainless steel, a relevant factor on multi-function tables where multiple dogs are installed simultaneously.
For intensive use or in humid environments, standard 303 stainless steel dogs offer superior corrosion resistance. For thick tables in normal workshop environments, long aluminium dogs are a suitable solution.
Do the long bench dogs require a chamfer around the 20 mm hole?
Yes. Like standard bench dogs, long dogs also require a chamfer around the 20 mm hole to sit flush with the table surface. UJK tables and the Festool MFT/3 already have a standard chamfer. For self-built tables with the Parf MkII drilling system, the UJK combined chamfer and boring tool is available.
Are the long bench dogs compatible with the Festool MFT/3 table?
Yes. UJK Parf M8 long bench dogs are compatible with the Festool MFT/3 table and all grid tables with chamfered 20 mm holes. The MFT/3 table has a thickness of 18 mm: on this thickness, standard 18 mm dogs are sufficient; the 32 mm long dogs are more suitable for thicker tables.
What is the M8 thread and which screws are compatible?
M8 is a standard metric thread with a pitch of 1.25 mm, one of the most common in carpentry and mechanics. All standard pitch M8 screws are compatible, including socket head cap screws, countersunk screws, grub screws, bolts, and any other M8 threaded element available in hardware stores.
The through thread allows the screw to be inserted from both top and bottom, making the bench dogs adaptable to any custom jig or clamp configuration.
How many dogs are included in the package?
The package includes 2 long M8 bench dogs. Two dogs are the minimum configuration for most clamping and jig building applications that require two symmetrical anchoring points on the table.
