Who uses the HKS 2000 x 10 and for what
The shear is used by metal fabrication shops, sheet metal workshops and metalworking operations cutting steel, brass, aluminium and copper in formats up to 2000 mm. The cutting angle adjustable directly from the control panel reduces deformation on thin materials, while foot-pedal cutting keeps both hands free for positioning the sheet. At 6,100 kg with a 190-litre oil tank, this is a fixed-bay machine intended for continuous production on medium-thickness sheet, not for occasional work.
Krollit logistics and support
Shipping within 5–9 working days. For machines over 200 kg, ground-floor delivery with hydraulic tail-lift included. Technical support in English available throughout the product's life. Original Bernardo spare parts available from the Krollit warehouse, Monteforte Irpino (AV), Italy.
Who the HKS 2000 x 10 is for
| Profile | Suitability | Reason |
| Structured metal fabrication shop | Suitable | 2000 mm cut on sheet up to 10 mm at 12 strokes/min in continuous production |
| Sheet metal and thin-gauge work | Suitable | Cutting angle adjustable 0.5°–1° 45' that reduces deformation on thin materials |
| Occasional mechanical workshop | Not suitable | 6,100 kg weight and 11 kW motor require a fixed bay and dedicated three-phase supply |
Not suitable for: occasional work or confined spaces, given the 2650 × 2800 mm footprint and 6,100 kg that require installation on a suitable floor in a dedicated bay.

Frequently asked questions
What sheet thickness does the HKS 2000 x 10 cut?
It cuts sheet up to 10 mm thick on steel with 400 N/mm² tensile strength. On more resistant materials the actual capacity decreases, while on softer sheet such as aluminium and copper it can increase.
The 10 mm reference value is calculated on mild steel with 400 N/mm² strength. For alloy or high-strength stainless steel applications, it is advisable to verify the actual capacity according to the specific material strength before purchase.
Does the shear run on single-phase or three-phase power?
With an 11 kW motor, the HKS 2000 x 10 requires a 400V three-phase supply. Power at this level cannot be handled on a domestic or small-workshop single-phase circuit.
Before installation it is advisable to verify the availability of a dedicated three-phase line with adequate capacity, also considering the inrush current of the hydraulic pump at start-up. Our technical service can assist in checking the electrical requirements at +39 0825-1494022.
How is the cutting angle adjusted?
The cutting angle is adjustable from 0.5° to 1° 45' directly from the control panel, with no manual mechanical intervention. Narrower angles reduce deformation on thin sheet.
The quick panel adjustment lets you adapt the angle to the material type and thickness: a smaller angle limits twisting of the sheet on thin materials such as brass and aluminium, while a larger angle increases cutting efficiency on heavier thicknesses.
What safety systems does the machine have?
The HKS 2000 x 10 features a protective grid and photocells on the rear side, plus foot-pedal-controlled cutting with emergency stop that keeps the operator's hands clear of the cutting zone.
The rear photocells interrupt the cycle in case of interference in the danger zone. The foot control allows the operator to position the sheet with both hands and trigger the cut only when the sheet is correctly positioned against the stops.
What backgauge does the HKS 2000 x 10 have?
It has a motorised NC backgauge with 0–600 mm travel, managed by the E21S control. It allows repeatable sheet positioning for batch cuts at constant measurements.
The E21S NC control stores working dimensions and moves the backgauge automatically, reducing set-up times on repetitive production. For cutting short pieces, the steplessly adjustable cutting length allows further time savings.
How much does it weigh and how much space does installation require?
The machine weighs approximately 6,100 kg and occupies 2,650 mm in length, 2,800 mm in depth and 2,000 mm in height. It requires an industrial floor suitable to bear the load.
Transport and positioning require lifting equipment suited to the weight. Krollit handles ground-floor delivery with hydraulic tail-lift included for machines over 200 kg; for final positioning in the bay, an overhead crane or adequately rated forklift should be arranged.
Are the knives included in the delivery?
Yes, the HKS 2000 x 10 is supplied with tool-steel knives as standard, together with the motorised NC backgauge, E21S control, foot pedal with emergency stop, side and angle stops and photocell guard.
The tool-steel knives are subject to wear depending on the material cut and number of cycles. Original Bernardo spare parts, including replacement knives, are available from the Krollit warehouse in Monteforte Irpino (AV), Italy.
