Record Power CORONET ENVOY Woodturning Lathe Combo + Complete Side Support
This combo combines the machine and a complementary accessory for professional woodturning with greater versatility.
Record Power CORONET ENVOY is a woodturning lathe with 610 mm between centres, M33 × 3.5 spindle thread and variable speed from 100 to 3,800 rpm, allowing the speed to be adapted to different types of wood. The motor has an input power of 1.5 kW and output power of 1.1 kW, with standard 230 V single-phase supply. Maximum bowl-turning diameter is 1,000 mm. It features an MT2 tailstock, 90 mm tailstock travel and 410 mm swing over the bed. Sound level is below 83 dB(A). With a weight of 140 kg, the machine offers excellent stability on its robust base.
Record Power Complete Side Support is an original cast-iron accessory compatible with the Envoy and Regent lathes. It extends the lathe’s capabilities for turning large bowls up to 1,000 mm in diameter, improves stability when working with heavy pieces and facilitates accurate setup for decorative components such as chair legs, vases and balusters.
Together: reliable lathe + stable support = precise turning of quality woods such as mahogany, walnut, cherry and oak, with a clean surface ready for fine sanding.

Frequently asked questions
1. What is the difference between P1 1.5 kW and P2 1.1 kW?
P1 indicates the electrical power absorbed by the motor, while P2 indicates the mechanical output power available at the machine. In practical terms, P2 is the useful power available for turning operations.
2. What spindle speed should I use for different woods?
Softwoods such as pine and fir can generally be worked at higher speeds, while medium and hardwoods are usually turned at lower speeds. Large or unbalanced bowls require particularly low speeds for safe and controlled machining.
3. How much does the side support improve stability?
The cast-iron side support helps reduce vibration when turning large or heavy workpieces. This is especially useful for large bowls, dense hardwoods and decorative work where a smooth finish is important.
4. Can I turn 1,000 mm bowls without the side support?
The lathe is designed for large outboard turning, but as workpiece diameter and mass increase, additional support becomes increasingly useful for stability and surface quality.
5. What does 610 mm between centres mean?
It is the maximum nominal workpiece length that can be mounted between the headstock and tailstock centres. Larger-diameter bowl work is normally mounted differently and does not use the full between-centres configuration.
6. Is the CORONET ENVOY single-phase or three-phase?
It operates on 230 V single-phase power, making it suitable for workshops without a three-phase electrical system.
7. What maintenance is required?
Regular maintenance includes cleaning wood dust, checking moving parts and fasteners, lubricating components according to the manufacturer’s instructions and periodically inspecting the side support and mounting points.
