Description

The Record Power combo includes the Sabre 300 bandsaw, with 254 mm cutting height, 292 mm throat capacity, 1.5 kW 230 V motor and 300 mm cast iron wheels, together with the AC400 air filtration system, which captures 90% of fine dust down to 1 micron in workshops up to 113 m³. Both products are covered by a 5-year Record Power warranty. Distributed in Italy by Krollit, official Record Power distributor since 2007.

  • Cutting height: 254 mm, throat capacity: 292 mm
  • Motor: 1.5 kW (output power 1.1 kW), 230 V single-phase power supply
  • Two blade speeds: 500 and 1,000 m/min
  • 300 mm cast iron wheels with flywheel effect for smooth cutting
  • Cast iron table 480 x 400 mm, tilting from -6° to 45° on rack-and-pinion mechanism
  • Compatible blades: 2,420 mm length, 6-19 mm width
  • Dual dust extraction: rear 100 mm port with CamVac-compatible bayonet and side 63 mm port
  • AC400: 2-stage filtration, 90% of dust down to 1 micron, washable filters
  • AC400: 3 speeds with infrared remote control and timer, airflow up to 11.60 m³/min
  • Record Power warranty: 5 years on both products

Why combine a bandsaw and air filter in one package

A bandsaw produces two types of dust: large chips, captured by the 100 and 63 mm extraction ports connected to a dust extractor, and fine dust below one micron, which remains suspended in the workshop air even for hours after cutting. The AC400 acts on this second fraction: mounted on the ceiling with the included hooks and chain, it recirculates the room air, filtering 90% of particles down to 1 micron, with three speeds from 7.40 to 11.60 m³/min and a contained noise level between 62 and 69 dB. The combo therefore covers both extraction at source and ambient air purification.

Who uses the Sabre 300 and what for

The Sabre 300 is developed for advanced hobby users and small woodworking workshops: with 254 mm cutting height, it can trim thick boards and prepare turning blanks, while narrow 6 mm blades allow curved cuts on templates and jigs. The rip fence with micrometric cam adjustment positions the workpiece accurately for repeated cuts, and the blade guides with sliding tool-steel blocks adjust without tools. With a floor footprint of 791 x 670 mm, the machine fits into most home and craft workshops.

Who the Sabre 300 + AC400 combo is suitable for

Profile Compatibility Reason
Advanced hobby user with dedicated workshop Suitable 254 mm cutting height, 230 V single-phase, 791 x 670 mm footprint
Small woodworking workshop Suitable 300 mm cast iron wheels, two speeds, air filtration for rooms up to 113 m³
Woodturners preparing blanks Suitable 254 mm cutting height for thick blanks
Continuous industrial production Not recommended For intensive shifts, a higher range model is more suitable

Not recommended for: series production over extended shifts and workspaces over 113 m³, where the AC400 alone does not exchange the air frequently enough.

Frequently asked questions

What cutting capacities does the Sabre 300 offer?

The Sabre 300 cuts up to 254 mm in height with a throat capacity of 292 mm.

The 254 mm height covers most hobby and craft applications, from trimming thick boards to preparing turning blanks. The two speeds of 500 and 1,000 m/min are selected according to wood species and thickness, while blades from 6 to 19 mm cover both tight curved cuts and straight trimming cuts.

Does the Sabre 300 require three-phase power?

No, the 1.5 kW motor runs on 230 V single-phase power, using a standard domestic line.

The 1.1 kW output power, combined with the flywheel effect of the 300 mm cast iron wheels, keeps the blade under tension even on solid sections. However, it is advisable to check that the line can handle the 1,500 W input power together with any connected dust extractor.

Why combine the AC400 air filter with the bandsaw?

The dust extractor captures chips at source, while the AC400 filters the fine dust that remains suspended in the workshop air.

Sub-micron particles partly escape local extraction and remain suspended even for hours after machining. The AC400 captures 90% of dust down to 1 micron with 2-stage filtration and washable filters, and the remote control timer allows it to keep running after leaving the workshop.

What room size is the AC400 designed for?

The AC400 is suitable for small and medium workshops up to approximately 113 m³.

The three speeds, from 7.40 to 11.60 m³/min, are adjusted with the infrared remote control according to work intensity. The recommended installation is ceiling mounting using the included hooks and chain, a position that promotes air recirculation, and the 62 to 69 dB noise level allows it to remain switched on during work.

What does the combo supply include?

The combo includes the Sabre 300 complete with stand, blade, rip fence and tools, plus the AC400 system with remote control and suspension kit.

Both machines come with user manual and 5-year Record Power warranty. Compared with buying the saw alone, the combo adds ambient air purification without separate components to purchase.

What is the difference compared with the Sabre 350?

The Sabre 350 offers higher capacities: 305 mm cutting height and 345 mm throat capacity, compared with 254 and 292 mm on the Sabre 300.

The Sabre 300 remains the recommended choice for hobby and craft workshops where compact footprint and single-phase power matter, while the Sabre 350 is aimed at users who regularly work with thicker and wider sections. For a comparison based on your application, Krollit support is available at +39 0825-1494022.

What warranty covers the two products?

Both the Sabre 300 and the AC400 are covered by the 5-year Record Power warranty.

Krollit, official Record Power distributor since 2007, manages support and original spare parts in Italy from the Monteforte Irpino (AV) warehouse, with Italian technical support throughout the entire life of the product.
