UJK Technology Surface Cam Clamps are a pair of surface cam clamps for lateral clamping on a multifunctional table, CNC machined from 12 mm thick compact phenolic laminate, with a slightly off-center 20 mm hole to generate the cam action. Designed and manufactured in Great Britain by UJK Technology, a brand launched by Axminster Tools in 2012, now under NuCo Tools Ltd. Distributed in Italy by Krollit, official UJK distributor since 2007.

Who are the Surface Cam Clamps for?
| Profile |
Compatibility |
Reason |
| Woodworker with MFT table or bench with 20 mm holes |
Suitable |
The off-center 20 mm hole generates the cam action that clamps the workpiece laterally without obstructing the top surface. |
| Anyone performing planing, scraping, carving, or sanding on a perforated top |
Suitable |
The 12 mm profile does not hinder the tool; lateral clamping completely frees the workpiece surface. |
| Anyone working on a traditional bench without 20 mm holes |
Not indicated |
The cam mechanism requires a 20 mm hole in the top; on benches without dog holes, the product cannot be used in its primary function. |
Not suitable for: benches without 20 mm holes, clamping workpieces that require vertical pressure (cam clamps only exert lateral pressure), and applications on materials that require clamping forces greater than those allowed by the phenolic laminate cam mechanism.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the UJK Surface Cam Clamps cam mechanism work?
The 20 mm hole is milled slightly off-center from the clamp body. By inserting the clamp into a 20 mm dog hole and rotating it, the body moves closer to the workpiece, exerting progressive lateral pressure that clamps the workpiece against a fixed stop, without touching the top surface.
The principle is the same as "duck clamp" type cam clamps: rotation transforms angular movement into linear pressure on the side of the workpiece. The 12 mm compact phenolic laminate offers the necessary rigidity to maintain pressure without deforming. The clamps are used in pairs for a more uniform hold on wide workpieces.
What benches and MFT tables are the Surface Cam Clamps 105325 compatible with?
Surface Cam Clamps are compatible with any bench or table equipped with 20 mm dog holes: Festool MFT tables, tops made with the UJK Parf Guide system, benches with 20 mm holes at any pitch, and custom tops with the same hole size.
UJK recommends the 12 mm Guide Pups (sold separately) as a complementary accessory, which, thanks to their low profile, integrate with the cam clamps to create complete clamping configurations without obstructing the tool. No specific spacing between holes is required: a single 20 mm dog hole is sufficient for each cam clamp.
Can the Surface Cam Clamps be fixed to a surface without dog holes?
Yes, partially. The Surface Cam Clamps have additional holes that allow them to be screwed directly to any flat surface, even without 20 mm dog holes. In this case, the cam action is disabled, and the clamp functions as a fixed stop.
This alternative use is useful on temporary MDF panels, assembly surfaces, or standard benches without holes, where the screw-fixed cam clamp acts as a positioning stop. For lateral pressure clamping with cam action, the 20 mm dog hole remains necessary.
What is the difference between the Surface Cam Clamps 105325 and the UJK Cam & Wedge Clamping Set?
The Surface Cam Clamps (105325) are sold as a pair of clamps only, without a backstop, wedges, or spacers. They are the basic accessory for those who already have a positioning system or want to purchase the components separately.
The Cam & Wedge Clamping Set, on the other hand, includes the cam clamp, three 12 mm stainless steel guide pups, a Valchromat backstop with three 96 mm holes, two wedges, and a spacer. The Surface Cam Clamps 105325 use 20 mm holes, while the cam clamp in the Cam & Wedge set uses 12 mm pups; the two systems are not interchangeable.
What operations are the UJK Surface Cam Clamps used for?
Surface Cam Clamps are suitable for hand planing, scraping, carving, manual and machine sanding, drilling, and milling on an MFT table. The low 12 mm profile allows tool access to the entire top surface of the workpiece.
Lateral clamping is particularly useful for irregularly shaped workpieces. For hand planing, the pair allows a clamp to be placed on each side of the workpiece for a symmetrical hold without vises or clamps obstructing the surface.
