Geared Pillar Drill SGH 28 / 400 V

The SGH 28 geared pillar drill is a floor-standing machine powered at 400 V, with a drilling capacity of up to 28 mm and tapping capacity up to M 12. The ground gearbox, combined with the 0.85 / 1.1 kW two-speed motor, provides 12 speeds from 75 to 3,200 rpm. The solid 380 × 380 mm table rotates 360° and tilts ±45°; the coolant system, tapping device with rotation reversal, automatic tool ejector and LED light are fitted as standard.

What applications is it suitable for?

The SGH 28 is suitable for machine shops, metal fabrication shops, maintenance and production departments that drill steel and other metals up to 28 mm and tap threads up to M 12, including on very tall workpieces thanks to the 1,210 mm between spindle and base. The minimum speed of 75 rpm with geared transmission ensures torque on large diameters, while the standard coolant protects drill bits and taps. It requires connection to a 400 V three-phase supply and a floor able to support approx. 215 kg.

It is not suitable for users with only a 230 V single-phase socket, nor for occasional hobby work, for which a lighter drill is sufficient.
