Güde GWZT 2/1 Tool Trolley – Modular, 3 removable compartments
The GWZT 2/1 is designed for users who do not want to compromise between mobility and storage capacity. Three independent modules — removable tool case, double-drawer module and large tool box — can be detached from the wheeled frame, while each module is equipped with side handles for individual transport. If you only need to carry small components, you can remove the tool case and leave the other modules in the garage. If you need to transport heavy tools, use the complete trolley with the telescopic handle extended up to 1 metre in height for ergonomic pushing.
The large lower box includes a wide tilting compartment with roller bar: perfect for wrenches, long screwdrivers and professional tools. Ball bearings in the pull-out drawers ensure smooth sliding even when fully loaded, reducing wear and operator fatigue.
Who chooses it: three practical profiles
DIY owner / home hobbyist: Organised storage of tools in the garage or shed. The modular design allows you to move the tool case to the kitchen for light jobs, or load the drawers into the car for work at a friend’s house. The telescopic handle reduces transport fatigue.
Professional craftsman (plumber, electrician, carpenter): Multiple job sites during the day. Remove the tool case for specific tasks, take it to the job site and leave the rest of the trolley in the van. Ball bearings and a robust structure support the weight of daily professional tools such as wrenches, pliers, screws and cables.
Fisherman / hobby enthusiast: Storage for bait, reels, hooks and fishing line in separate modules. The removable tool case is perfect for a bait bag; the double drawer for accessories; the large box for bulky equipment. Padlock-ready compartments help protect against theft.

Frequently asked questions
1. What are the 3 modules of the GWZT 2/1?
Module 1 (top): removable tool case with pull-out tray for small components. Module 2 (centre): double pull-out drawer with ball bearings. Module 3 (bottom): large tool box with tilting compartment and roller bar. All modules are removable and equipped with transport handles.
2. How are the modules removed?
The modules are simply placed one on top of the other without screws or connections: lift the module using the side handles and separate it from the module below. Internal pull-out drawers: pull towards you until they stop. Simple, no tools required. Each module weighs 2–6 kg individually, making it easy to carry.
3. What is the total load capacity?
Complete trolley (3 stacked modules): approximately 50 kg estimated payload capacity (frame weight 14.5 kg, module capacity approximately 35–40 kg of tools). For single loads >20 kg, use the double drawer for better weight distribution. Do not exceed the weight limit to avoid damaging the wheels or frame.
4. Is it possible to use only some modules?
Yes, exactly. Remove the tool case module if you only need to transport the drawers; remove the double-drawer module if you only use the large box. Each module is independent. Side handles allow individual transport without the wheeled frame for short distances. The frame remains in the garage or workshop.
5. Telescopic handle: how does it work?
The telescopic handle extends from approximately 600 mm (frame at rest) up to 1 metre (1,000 mm) maximum height. Manual extension: pull the handle upwards until it stops. It provides optimal pushing ergonomics even for operators of different heights. It reduces back strain when transporting a fully loaded trolley.
6. Drawers with ball bearings: why is this important?
Ball bearings allow ultra-smooth drawer sliding: you can pull out the drawer even when fully loaded without effort. They reduce mechanical wear and the risk of jamming. Drawers without bearings slide with friction: after months or years, they become difficult to open and may break. Ball bearings ensure a long trolley service life.
7. What are the final dimensions with the handle extended?
Maximum height with the telescopic handle fully extended: 1 metre (1,000 mm). Width: 520 mm. Depth: 320 mm. The trolley is compact enough to pass through standard doors (width <900 mm) and stairs that are not too narrow. When not in use, the handle folds back onto the frame for compact storage.
