The Ø 50 mm boring head — for what type of milling machine operation?
The Ø 50 mm boring head allows boring holes of variable diameter with high precision on horizontal and vertical milling machines. Unlike a drill bit (fixed diameter), the boring head has a micron-adjustable slider that allows adjusting the final hole diameter with a precision of 0.01 mm. Used for: precision holes (H7/h7 tolerance fits), boring bearing bushes, holes with diameters not available as standard drill bits.
The included MK 3 holder — for what type of milling machine?
The MK 3 attachment indicates the Morse taper of the milling machine spindle. Verify that your milling machine's spindle has an MK 3 attachment. If the spindle has a different taper, an extension/reduction sleeve is required. The included boring bars (Ø 12 or 18 mm depending on the model) are inserted into the head body and adjusted via the micrometric screw.
