Description

The FDM 510 - 20 pillar drill is a floor-standing machine powered at 400 V, with a drilling capacity of up to 32 mm, MT 4 Morse taper spindle mount and 12 speeds from 120 to 3,480 rpm. The 1.5 kW aluminium motor features rotation reversal as standard. The 480 × 425 mm table with T-slots and perimeter coolant channel tilts ±45°, the column has a diameter of 90 mm and the quill stroke is 120 mm.

What are the main features of the FDM 510 - 20?

  • Drilling capacity up to 32 mm with MT 4 Morse taper spindle mount
  • 12 speeds from 120 to 3,480 rpm, with a minimum speed suitable for large diameters in steel
  • Clockwise/anticlockwise rotation reversal with cam switch, as standard
  • 1.5 kW aluminium motor with IP54 protection rating
  • Machined 480 × 425 mm table with T-slots and perimeter coolant channel
  • Table tilts from -45° to +45°, height-adjustable via rack and crank
  • Quill on quality ball bearings with 120 mm stroke
  • Ø 90 mm column and 255 mm throat depth
  • Machined 410 × 330 mm base for clamping tall workpieces
  • Height-adjustable guard and separate emergency stop button

What applications is it suitable for?

The FDM 510 - 20 is suitable for machine shops, metal fabrication shops, maintenance and production departments that drill steel, aluminium and other materials up to 32 mm, including on tall or heavy workpieces. The minimum speed of 120 rpm and the 120 mm quill stroke are useful for deep, large-diameter holes; the table channel collects the coolant. It requires connection to a 400 V three-phase supply and a floor able to support approx. 110 kg.

It is not suitable for users with only a 230 V single-phase socket, nor for workpieces that require the drilling point to be moved beyond the 255 mm throat depth: in these cases a radial drill is required.

What are the technical specifications of the FDM 510 - 20?

What equipment is included with the FDM 510 - 20?

  • Keyless chuck 1–16 mm / B 16 – for quick, keyless clamping of drill bits.
  • Arbor MT 4 / B 16 – to connect the chuck to the MT 4 Morse taper mount.
  • Clockwise/anticlockwise cam switch – for reversing the spindle's direction of rotation.
  • Height-adjustable guard – to protect the drilling area during machining.
  • Separate emergency stop button – for stopping the machine quickly.
