Properties
The kit consists of:
Rekord 845 Polishing Paste (brown) for aluminum
Classic polishing paste with slightly larger, medium-greasy granules, creates perfect non-metallic surfaces (e.g. aluminum, copper, brass, magnesium, zinc, etc.). The paste is suitable for polishing aluminum rims.
Color: brown
Sharpness / abrasion: 5 (10 = sharp, 1 = mild)
Fat content: medium
Weight: approx. 800 g
Lumo 939 Polishing Paste (light brown) for plastic
Good polishing paste, specifically for plastic, hardwood and non-metallic materials.
Color: light brown
Sharpness / abrasion: 1 (10 = sharp, 1 = mild)
Fat content: low
Weight: approx. 900 g
Loose Fabric Polishing Disc Ø 350 x 25 mm, Ø 16 mm
Polishing discs suitable for steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, plastic and wood. The layer thickness can be self-determined after each application; therefore, loose discs are simply omitted.
Loose Flannel Polishing Disc Ø 350 x 25 mm, Ø 16 mm
Very soft polishing disc for mirror polishing; the discs are not sewn, so the thickness can be changed and determined by yourself. The long life ensures quality processing.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I use a polishing kit for plastic and aluminum?
Basic three-step procedure: 1) Pre-polishing with sisal disc and Tripoli or brown paste — removes scratches and surface oxidation. 2) Intermediate polishing with medium cotton disc and white paste — reduces scratches from step 1. 3) Final polishing with soft cotton disc and fine white paste — achieves a mirror finish. Each step uses a separate disc — do not mix different pastes on the same disc.
Does this kit work on aluminum, plastic and stainless steel?
Yes — the kit is designed for aluminum, copper, brass, magnesium and polishable plastics (PMMA, polycarbonate). For stainless steel, use specific stainless steel paste — standard aluminum pastes do not produce the same finish on stainless steel. Always test on a small area before proceeding with the entire surface.
Recommended speed for polishing?
For Ø 350 mm discs: 1,000–1,500 rpm for aluminum. Speeds that are too high will overheat the surface and burn the paste. Keep the disc moving continuously — stopping in one spot will cause localized overheating and deformation on plastic.
