Synergic technology and 4-roller feed
The 4-roller wire feed with continuous adjustment keeps feeding constant even with 15 kg spools and wires of different diameters, reducing the jams typical of 2-roller systems. The selectable synergic function automatically sets voltage and wire speed according to material and thickness, simplifying setup in MIG/MAG. The digital display shows the set values for immediate parameter control.

Can the Uni-Mig 270 AS-Pro SYN be connected to a 230 V single-phase socket?
No. The machine is powered exclusively by 400 V three-phase, with a 16 A slow-blow fuse and max. input power of 6.8 kVA. It therefore requires a three-phase line in the workshop.
Before purchase it is worth checking the availability of a three-phase supply and the panel sizing. For single-phase domestic use there are dedicated lower-power Güde models; our technical service can indicate the right alternative at +39 0825-1494022.
Which welding processes are ready to use at purchase?
Ready as standard are MIG/MAG, flux-cored and electrode (MMA), with a current range up to 270 A. TIG is possible only by adding the optional kit 41692.
In MMA mode the machine handles electrodes from 1.0 to 5.0 mm with HOT-START, ARC-FORCE and ANTI-STICK functions for striking and arc stability. In MIG/MAG the 4-roller feed and synergic function simplify setup on steel up to 1.2 mm wire diameter.
What steel thickness can it weld?
Recommended material thickness is 2–20 mm, with current adjustable from 30 to 270 A. It therefore covers medium sheets and structural profiles in one machine.
The 60% duty cycle at maximum current allows longer work cycles without immediate thermal shutdown, useful on fabrications and load-bearing structures where welds are long and repeated.
Which wire spools does it accept and is an adapter needed?
It accepts basket and plastic spools up to 15 kg, with steel wire from 0.8 to 1.0 (1.2) mm and flux-cored wire of 0.9 mm. For 15 kg basket spools the optional adapter 18786 is available.
