The Bernardo HS 12 lever shear is a robust and compact manual machine designed for the precise cutting of sheet metal and metal profiles. With a cutting capacity of up to 265 mm in length on steel sheet (max 4 mm at 400 N/mm²), it can also process round material up to Ø 13 mm and flat steel up to 70 × 5 mm. The 300 mm blade ensures long life and a uniform cutting finish. Thanks to the ergonomic lever, the operator can perform cuts with minimal effort. Weighing approximately 25 kg, the HS 12 is easily transportable and suitable for both artisan workshops and construction sites. What is the maximum thickness for aluminum and stainless steel?

The nominal thickness of 1.5 mm refers to S235 steel (400 N/mm²). For aluminum, capacity increases by 30–50% (approx. 2.1 mm). For AISI 304 stainless steel, capacity is reduced by 30–40% (approx. 1.0 mm).

Are the blades replaceable?

Yes. Cutting blades are replaceable when worn or damaged. Original Bernardo spare blades available with 3–5 working days shipping.

Does it require fixed installation or can it be used on a workbench?

Most Bernardo lever shears are fixed to a workbench or floor with bolts. They do not require special foundations. More compact versions can also be used with a bench vice.

Does the Bernardo HS 12 Lever Shear also cut copper and brass?

Yes. Copper and brass have lower strength than S235 steel: the actual capacity on copper is similar to aluminum (approx. 2.1 mm). For specific alloys, contact Krollit for verification.
