A V-block (or prismatic support) is a support device with a V-groove that holds cylindrical workpieces (bars, shafts, pipes) keeping them centered and steady during measuring, drilling, marking, or grinding. It is necessary whenever a cylindrical workpiece needs to be worked on or measured off the lathe — without a block, the workpiece rolls and cannot be worked on with precision.
What is the difference between the BHP 200 and the BHP 30/100/150 models in the series?
The number indicates the width/size of the block: BHP 30 → for small shafts (Ø up to approx. 30–50 mm), BHP 100 → medium size, BHP 150/160 → for large shafts. The choice depends on the maximum diameter of the workpieces to be supported. Check the maximum accepted diameter in the model's technical table.
