Bernardo FT 504 SF – Dust Collector 8900 m³/h, Bag Filter
The Bernardo FT 504 SF dust collector is a professional, high-performance solution for managing dust and chips in large woodworking shops and workshops. With a suction capacity of up to 8900 m³/h and a maximum vacuum pressure of 1900 Pa, it ensures powerful and consistent extraction even with machines that produce a high volume of waste. Equipped with a bag filter with a filtering surface area of 19 m² and chip collection bags with a capacity of 1130 liters, it guarantees long operational autonomy. The three-phase 3.75 kW (5.1 HP) continuous duty S1 and 5.25 kW (7.1 HP) S6 40% motor ensures robustness and efficiency. Quiet (82 dB), stable, and designed for intensive use, it is suitable for those seeking reliability and power in a single system.

Frequently Asked Questions
The FT 502 SF / FT 504 SF system — what does SF mean and for what professional use is it certified?
SF stands for Sleeve Filter: a filtration system with cylindrical sleeves instead of traditional bags. The sleeves automatically shake via a pneumatic system to remove accumulated dust without stopping the machine — the filter remains clean during operation and the airflow remains constant. SF models are certified for Class M dust (IEC 60335-2-69) — mandatory for processing MDF, coated particleboard, and hardwoods in a professional environment.
Dust class M — which standards does it meet in Italy?
Class M (Medium hazard dust) corresponds to Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and IEC 60335-2-69. In Italy, Legislative Decree 81/2008 (workplace safety) mandates the control of wood dust exposure — the maximum permissible concentration (OEL) is 2 mg/m³ for hardwood dust. A Class M certified system reduces fine dust (<5 μm) which is the most dangerous for health. For softwoods, Class L is sufficient; for hardwoods and MDF, Class M is necessary.
How should the system be sized relative to the machines?
The required airflow depends on the number and type of machines: circular saw 1,000–1,500 m³/h, planer 1,500–2,000 m³/h, sander 2,000–3,000 m³/h. The FT 504 SF with 8,900 m³/h can serve multiple machines simultaneously with adequate ducting. Coordinate with Krollit for correct sizing. Customer support in Italian available.
